The most challenging part of this assignment was creating the power point because it was hard to think of what to write that would be parallel with the analysis portion of my presentation. I think that because we had so much time in the computer lab I was able to get a better understanding of the piece I chose and what you were expecting from us. I don't really think there was something that didn't work well, at first I thought the blog idea was weird but after a while it helped me and began to make sense. I think this project should be taught in 9th grade because it helps you learn new tools to make a project and will help you analysis anything (art, videos etc.) in the future.

As far as the analysis portion of my project goes, I have nothing except for the ideas in my head (very few) but I think I will use a lot of the information I used in the research and written description part of my project in my analysis and presentation. As time decreases I'm becoming more and more worried even though I am using my time wisely.

After every time we go to the computer lab I feel more confident about my presentation. I have been writing my written description and the research portion of the project. I plan to incorporate my written document in my presentation but I'm not sure if I can talk about my art piece for 7- 10 minutes which is why it would be nice for the time limit to be lowered.

Today in the computer lab I began to write the written description for my piece, what was in it and a little bit about what I thought of the art piece. I am still questioning why the research portion is worth 70 points when all we are writing is who the author is, when the piece was created etc. And if there is something more we are supposed to write about.

Today I once again tried the various search engines that Mrs. Hodge has provided, but when I search my art piece the search engine comes up with many sites on where to buy the art piece and not many sites with information on the piece I chose. I think I will begin to search things related to the art piece such as the artists name and when the art piece was created.

In the computer lab on Friday I will continue my research on my art piece and hopefully find more basic information on it.

The few engines that I used off of Mrs. Hodges blogspot were very different (in a bad way) from google but maybe after experimenting with them more I will be able to understand them. Today I did not learn much about my art piece because I was to busy trying to figure out how blogspot works and what iGoogle is. Here is what little information I learned on my art piece...

So far I've learned that art plays an important part in our society and has been for hundreds of years. Art shows emotions, ideas, personality etc. I think I am going to choose the art piece A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat. My next step is to write about those questions for the art piece.
