Today in the computer lab I began to write the written description for my piece, what was in it and a little bit about what I thought of the art piece. I am still questioning why the research portion is worth 70 points when all we are writing is who the author is, when the piece was created etc. And if there is something more we are supposed to write about.

Remember the research an analysis are together in terms of the 70 points. And it isn't about writing a research paper it is about presenting the information that you learn. The most valued aspect of the presentation is your analysis of your chosen piece.
